A New year starts and a new EVO takes place. I am glad to be able to come back home. I started learning and reflecting about multiliteracies back in 2005, when Vance invited us to join him in one of his classes. That's when my journey into getting multilitarated started, as a matter of fact checking back the blog I opened at that time, I had the chance to reflect on some of those feelings. I will rewrite here my first post so you have a idea of what it was like for me and how this multiliteracy class has changed my ideas about teaching and learning.
Now, I know that to be able to claim yourself literate you’re supposed to be able to do things with what you know and according to Siemens, you should also know where to locate reliable information sources. I thought there was only the need to be literate, but I know now there are multiliteracies, too. I guess that means that dued to rapid changes brought by the use of new communication technologies, the way we make sense of things is changing and new literacies are being born. Now, I realized that to make sense of new technologies you need to be visual, spatial, audio, linguistical and many more kind of literate. These new ideas are revolutionizing my world and my practice as an educator. After this experience, I will walk into my classroom and do things differently to give my students a better chance in this new world.
Well, I think that’s enough for today...
That was the only entry in my blog, with those ideas in mind I kept on working and even conducted a doctorate research where multiliteracies played the most important part. That was in 2009... now I am back.. to learn what's new and to help as much as I can. it's been a wonderful journey that I am thankful I started and in such good company.... Dennis, Vance, Jenny, Nelba thanks for keeping on doing what you do. And to the new members.. you are about to star a great adventure... have fun...webhead style!
Keep on shining Love and Peace!

It is a great pleasure to be sharing this session once again. I am so glad to know that you learned so many new things and applied them in your classroom. Nowadays it is highly important to be a multiliterate teacher and offer our students different ways of having access to knowledge.
Welcome aboard and let´s keep sharing and learning together.
A big kiss
Jennifer
