An early bye bye

Dear All,



Today I am travelling to a very beautiful province in Argentina called Córdoba. It is 700km from Buenos Aires. Luckily I will be able to meet Maria one of our participants face to face :-)



Unfortunately I am not taking my laptop with me therefore I won´t have full access to Internet. It has been a very enriching experience to share this session with you. I would also like to thank my wonderful team Vance and Nina for their constant help and support.

Using Text messaging in the ESL classrrom

After reading Chapter 1 of From Blogs to Bombs I thought it was a good idea to test my digital native students to see if they were able to understand the txtspk in the book.

To my surprise most of them found this activity quite challenging. Out of 25 students not only one was able to understand the whole text.

They couldn`t believe that this was an essay a student sent to their teacher. We had a very interesting debate on text messaging.
