My interest in thinking about digital literacies as another form of literacy is that the study of literacy has raised many questions - the effects of literacy on the social and cognitive nature of the write, the value, if any of becoming literacy, the nature of the literacy itself - that can be applied to digital literacies as well. it allows us to think about digital literacy as part of a larger constellation of literacies. We may find different answers, perhaps because only a smaller percentage of the world will be digitally literate, but the questions persist.
